Behind the Volt Wins Platinum Honour at the 2026 MUSE Design Awards
London, United Kingdom – Behind the Volt has been recognised at the 2026 MUSE Design Awards, one of the world’s leading international design awards and creative competitions, honouring outstanding achievements in design innovation, creative excellence, and artistic vision across industries.
Organised by the International Awards Associate (IAA), the MUSE Awards celebrate the highest standards of global design excellence and creative innovation, attracting thousands of submissions each season from designers, agencies, and brands worldwide. This season saw over 13,000 entries across disciplines including architecture, interior design, product design, branding, digital media, and experiential design, bringing together a global creative community shaping the future of design.
Behind The Volt’s award-winning lighting design for ROSHN Group LIV Golf Riyadh , has been awarded the Platinum honour for the exceptional work in the Lighting Design – Entertainment Lighting category. This innovative approach to a sporting event was conceived by Alan Muller, and the distinction underscores a level of refined execution and meaningful impact that sets the company’s work apart.

At the heart of the submission was a bold reimagining of how lighting design can shape a live sports experience. ROSHN Group LIV Golf Riyadh is world’s largest professional night golf tournament and Behind The Volt’s concept transformed the event into an immersive night-time show across a massive 1km² environment of Riyadh Golf Club., The lighting became a storytelling device, a show centrepiece, and an architectural feature – central to this was the deployment of state-of-the-art KVANT Prestige Beams, which created a city-scale visual presence beyond the course itself.
Delivered through over 1,300 fixtures, the design combined precise programming with the seamless coordination of laser, lighting, water fountain, projection, LED screens, sound, and video. This formed a fully integrated fan experience and lighting ecosystem for LIV Golf’s broadcast viewers, fans in attendance, and social media audience–setting a new benchmark for global sports presentation and experiences.
The 2026 MUSE Awards recognises design excellence on the global stage and submissions are evaluated by a distinguished jury panel of 94 accomplished professionals from 22 countries, representing diverse expertise across architecture, design, branding, digital media, and creative industries.
Through a structured blind judging process, entries were assessed solely on their merits, ensuring fairness, integrity, and professional excellence in recognising the most outstanding creative achievements worldwide.
